Movie Trailer Reviews
This week in class students were asked to examine movie trailers as a type of advertisement for the movie industry. They were asked to think about the rhetorical strategies at play which influence a viewer's decision to watch the movie in the theater, specifically issues of ethos, pathos, and logos. Students were allowed to choose their own trailer and to give the trailer a rating based on its overall persuasiveness. If you have not seen these movies or are thinking about watching them in the future, we hope you will find our posts to be useful guides and invite you to comment on our conclusions.
